Affect only stores what is needed for the website to work. No tracking, no advertising – so there is no cookie banner.
Session cookie “band_seed”
Keeps the order of the people on the start page the same while you browse, so “back” brings you to the same place. Contains only a random number. Ends when you close your browser.
Access cookie “affect_access” (test phase only)
While Affect is in its closed test phase, this cookie remembers that you entered the access code, so you are not asked again. It contains only a fingerprint of the code, no personal data, and is deleted after 90 days.
Language cookie “NEXT_LOCALE”
Only set when you choose a language with the switch at the top (EN, DE, FR). Remembers your choice, contains only “en”, “de” or “fr”, and is deleted after one year.
Session storage
Remembers where you were in the band and which person you opened last. Stays in your browser tab only and is deleted when you close it.
Login cookie
Once you log in, a cookie keeps you logged in until you log out. Only set if you log in.

No analytics cookies, no social media cookies, no advertising cookies, no content from other services.
